Blessing Hands serves a multitude of children in the Guangxi Province
Students are not only in China...
What Makes Blessing Hands Unique
Blessing Hands' is unique in its approach of using indigenous volunteers who want to help their own students. We look for key teachers who are passionate about helping their students, local people who want their students to have more opportunities, and government leaders who want allies in their poverty alleviation programs. Local volunteer administrators give out sponsorships to students they have selected as needy and worthy.
Blessing Hands' mission is to give sponsorship funds to the underprivileged students it serves. Teachers, charity partners, or school administrators select students according to need. Orphans, displaced people, refugees, those from single-parent or handicapped families, or left behind migrants' children are given preference. Once added to the roll, they are usually not removed unless they move, graduate, drop out of school, or their programs are stopped by administrators. Volunteers disperse the funds and supervise the students and projects. Periodically, site visits are made by BH staff to follow students or projects being serviced. BH could do nothing without these trusted volunteers.
