In China, our students come from poor rural areas in Guangxi Province. They are usually from single-parent homes or live with grandparents because they have absent parents. They are often the "left-behind children" of migrant workers. Many are from minority people groups.
Blessing Hands became an official Foreign Non-profit approved by the Chinese government. This made it possible for Blessing Hands to connect with schools and students within the Guangxi Province. We report our annual budget to the educational department and security department for approval each year. We have created connections with like-minded people within China who desire to see all students receive an education.
Our volunteer administrators are the champions of their students. Each volunteer administrator helps us identify students from poor families who are at risk of dropping out of school prematurely due to difficult family financial situations. A lot has changed within China over the years and many areas have what we in the USA would see as a public school and all students are allowed to go there. However, there are many rural areas where teachers are not available and students must travel far distances to continue schooling. One day, we hope to see every student in every village have access to education without the worry of cost or distance.
Your support will help students find hope and a determination to complete their education and possibly even dream and achieve a university degree. Learn more about each program: Dandelion Children's Home,
